Sage Park School in Windsor, CT Home to New England NightMare's Practice & A Cool Skate Park

On a Sunday afternoon in March, the Sage Park School in Windsor was home to a New England NightMare's football practice. The weather was perfect for football, crisp with a light breeze. As the footballs sailed through the air, cleats dug into the grass as receivers ran routes and chased balls. Over and over, balls where pulled from the air, and tucked safely under the receivers arms.

In the background, the sound of skateboard wheels hitting the pavement could be heard as skaters in the nearby "ramp park" were performing acrobatics with their skateboards. It's a nice setup. The skate park contains, a 6 ft quarter pipe, 4 f flybox, 3 ft spine, 2 kickers, a 2 ft fly box in the middle with a hubba and 2 rails, a box, a little prymid hubba and a 4 ft mini ramp. Now I don't know what all that means, but the skaters looked cool using the pipes, boxes, etc.

Just past the skaters, were people walking and jogging around the track. It was a perfect day in Windsor, CT and the people were taking advantage of it. After weeks of unkind weather, Connecticut residents are ready for spring, and they got a little of it.

By the end of the New England NightMare's football practice, the joggers and walkers were gone, but the skateboarders were still catching air. This perfect space nestled between Sage Park Middle School and the High School is an ideal place to spend a spring day. Parents can come, take a nice walk, kids can enjoy the skate park, and the family can take time out to enjoy a New England NightMare's practice. Connecticut's newest professional football team, will practice at Sage Park School every Sunday afternoon, thru the month of March, and practice is open to the public.
