Getting good and cheap food in Southern California can be tough. Getting good and cheap ethnic food is almost impossible though. However in Anaheim you can find a little gem if you like Middle Eastern of Greek food at Sahara Falafel.

Sahara Falafel is located at 590 South Brookhurst Street in Anaheim, California. Sahara Falafel serves Middle Eastern food. If you are a fan of Greek food you will be glad to know that they are pretty similar serving many of the same foods. If you are Muslim you will be glad to know that they serve Halal food here.

They have lots of your traditional Greek and Middle Eastern cuisine such as falafel and hummus but they also have their own unique mixes that are really good such as the shish tawouk sandwich. Some of the popular food options here include obviously the falafel, hummus, and you will have to try the garlic sauce.

I have been told by Middle Easterners that the food is just like they used to have as kids at home. I don't think I have ever had Greek or Middle Eastern food I have never liked and Sahara Falafel is no exception. Besides having good food the food is also very reasonably priced as well. The place is also run down looking. Sahara Falafel certainly looks like a typical hit or miss kind of old run down place. Fortunately for Sahara Falafel the food is a hit and not a miss.

If you like Middle Eastern food you will love Sahara Falafel. If you need Halal food then you will love Sahara Falafel. If you love Greek food then you will love Sahara Falafel too.

Sahara Falafel does have some problems. Sahara Falafel gets very cramped partially because it is small and also because it is popular. It is particularly popular with the Middle Eastern crowd since the food is Halal and it can be hard to find Halal dining. I am not Muslim but have a friend who is and I know how hard it can be to find some place he can eat at.
