Saiga Akhter 911 Call Tape Here: Mother Strangles Autistic Children with Wire, Calls 911 (AUDIO)
Warning: 911 Call Audio Linked Here is Disturbing and May Be Difficult to Listen To
Below, you can hear the disturbing 911 call, made by Saiga Akhter after she murdered her two children. In the chilling 911 call, Saiga Akhter matter-of-factly explained she killed her kids because they had autism, and she wanted "normal" children.
Will Andrea Yates Defense Be Used In Saiga Akhter Murder Case?
Saiga Akhter, 30, reportedly also tried to kill her young children with a liquid chemical, and may have even put the chemicals in their mouth. The children wouldn't drink the liquid, though, so their mother thought of something else. Saiga Akhter apparently found a wire, wrapped it tight around each child, one at a time, and killed them. Saiga Akhter then placed this 911 call to report the double-murder.
According to this MyFox.com report, the father of the two young children murdered at the hands of their mother earlier this week held two separate funerals for his dead children. CNN also reported Thursday that family members say only one of Saiga Akhter's children had autism, though this isn't confirmed by doctors of either child.
You can listen to the 911 call Saiga Akhter made after killing her children here. It is beyond disturbing to hear the woman describe killing her children as if it is nothing out of the ordinary. She may have been in a state of shock as to what she had done, but it truly sounds as if Saiga Akhter is ordering a pizza, not reporting the gruesome murders of two innocent children under the age of five.
Though Saiga Akhter clearly explains she strangled her children because she "didn't want autistic kids" in the 911 call Monday, family members told CNN Thursday that Saiga may have heard "voices" before she killed her kids. Does anyone smell an Andrea Yates defense in the works here? Sound off on this issue in the comments below!

Post a CommentTragic stuff.
This is a dreadful crime. It makes my blood boil because both of my brothers have disabilities. My oldest is autistic and I can't imagine my parents ever thinking of doing such a horrible thing so that they would not have to "cope" any longer. Even when you have a hard time coping, there are always other options. The woman should have considered foster care or adoption rather than killed her innocent children.

The story is horrible. You wrote it well, though.
So sad.
Terrible stuff.
That is so horrible I just can't fathom it.
People are sick!
