Sailing in Solitude

Lisa R. Strong
Peaceful early dawn;
Calm, blue, and crystal clear sky;
Painted by the Lord;

Seagulls fly above;
They circle the morning sun;
Trimmed in purple clouds;

I prepare to leave;
In my tiny little boat;
I lift up my sails;

Anytime I know;
The weather could be changing;
But I am prepared;

The wind fills my sails;
The sea breeze floats me away;
From my safe harbor;

My little boat rocks;
Along the glistening waves;
My weary heart smiles;

Far in the distance;
Lays a beautiful island;
I am headed there;

Hope has brought me here;
Basking in the rays of light;
Shaded by His Love;

Taking a deep breath;
Baptized by the cleansing air;
Fills me with new life;

    Great poem. We should always remember that God watches over the "little boats" too, not just the big ships.

    Baptized by the cleansing air..... this is an awesome line.... once again I was in that boat... if only, by imagination,,,,,,,,, Your picture is so pretty You and Sis Kady are both multi-talented,..as you can tell by alot of my photos, I love being around water, there is something very peacful and cleansing about the water spray in the air when riding in a boat.... Great job on both avenues of art Sister+*+*+*+* ~ PEACE ~
