Saint Patricks Day: Fast and Easy Holiday Deviled Eggs for a Great Party Appetizer!

Are you going to a party and need a quick and popular recipe that can be made in less than 30 minutes? I have found the right recipe for you!!

Ingredients: 1 cup boiling water; 20 drops of green food coloring (more or less to your preference); 6 eggs, hard boiled and peeled; 1/4 c. salad dressing; 1 tsp. mustard; 1 tsp. vinegar; 1-2 tbsp. pickle relish (sweet or dill); 1/4 c. bacon bits; paprika (optional); salt (optional); pepper (optional).

Directions: Boil 1 cup of water, and pour it into a coffee cup or deep bowl. Add about 20 drops of green food coloring and mix well. Cut all 6 eggs in half, lengthwise. Use a small spoon and gently remove the yolks into a bowl. Gently drop the egg whites into the cup of water and food coloring for about 30 seconds. Take the egg whites out with the spoon and let them dry on a paper towel. While the egg whites are drying, break up the egg yolks up with a fork. Mix in all of the other ingredients except for the paprika, to taste. You can also add food coloring to the egg yolk mix, if you desire. Once the colored egg whites have dried, gently spoon the egg yolk mix back into each egg. If you are like me and are having trouble getting the mixture back into the eggwhites, you can eliminate messiness by spooning the mixture in a zippy bag and cutting off the corner. You can then use the bag as a cake decorator would and squeeze the mixture back into the colored eggs. Sprinkle the colored eggs with paprika, and eat them immediately or put them on a plate and chill in the refrigerator. To keep them tasting fresh, place toothpicks in a couple of the eggs and cover the plate with plastic wrap. The toothpicks will keep the plastic wrap from sticking to your eggs. This recipe makes 12 deviled eggs. Enjoy!!

Comments: This is a recipe that I came up with after seeing a lady bring red and green deviled eggs to an Avon Christmas Party. They were a hit. I added my own twist to what I thought she had done and came up with an original appetizer that I love to take to parties. The wonderful thing about this recipe is that it is adaptable to almost all themes and most people love deviled eggs.
