Saint Patrick's Day MySpace Comments

For Those Who like to Add a Little Holiday Bling to Their Online Experience

Juliet Cook
Some of us who are caught in the web of the worldwide web and especially those fun-filled social networking sites like to use holidays and other special occasions as a good excuse to spruce up those online pages with a little extra bling or pow or pizzazz or flair. Whatever you choose to call such decorative imagery, this article will offer up a few suggestions for where to score some St. Patrick's Day holiday flavor in the way of MySpace comments.

Adding some eye catching holiday hoopla to a friend's MySpace Comments section (or even to your own Comments section) can surely be fun and festive, but a risk one often encounters with this seemingly innocent pursuit is that a lot of the websites that offer free comment code are also slow-moving, overloaded with advertisements, and littered with pop-ups, which can be a bit of a drag and maybe even deflate that bright green St. Patrick's Day balloon. In fact, the first website that I visited while researching this article, wishafriend.com, actually caused my computer to freeze up after only a few minutes spent browsing the site, so you might want to avoid that one.

Here are three other sites that offer a variety of appealing St. Patrick's Day MySpace comments and other flair and won't crash your computer while you're trying to access the goodies. Keep in mind, too, that all these websites specialize in all kinds of holidays and special occasions-not just St. Patrick's Day-so if one of these sites especially appeals to you, you might want to Add it to Your Favorites as a preferred one-stop-decor source.

Satisfaction.com serves up bling galore accompanied by user-friendly instructions for how to convert the sparkly accessories on their page into MySpace comments on your page. St. Patrick's Day offerings here include lots of green glitter and animated flourishes with imagery including party girls clad in green & white striped knee highs, green margaritas adorned with four leaf clovers, and a flashing leprechaun. In this case, when I say a flashing leprechaun, I am not simply referring to flash animation; I'm speaking of a naughty little leprechaun who is wearing the stereotypical flasher-style overcoat and presumably nothing underneath. Take a closer peek if you dare. What kind of goods do you suppose are under there? Maybe a tiny pot of gold?

Glitterbell.com also offers lots of green glitter on display, as the name of the website might suggest. Unfortunately, this site is cluttered with lots of ads, but it does give one the option to close out of ads or decline to view them. Fortunately, it also includes a pretty extensive assortment of St. Patrick's Day images to choose from, for which one can quickly and easily copy the code for use as MySpace Comments. Choices range from cute cartoons to whimsical fairies to friendly hello messages to small celebrations of Irish heritage to bawdier celebrations of more hedonistic pursuits i.e. 'Tonight I'm the Designated Drunk' paired with a mug of green beer.

Stpatrickstext.com provides a slightly different, more creative, more personalized option. Via this website, rather than simply choose from a variety of ready-made St. Patrick's Day MySpace comments, you can play a part in designing your own. This site allows you to write your own St. Patrick's Day text and customize it, making your own creative choices in the areas of font size, text color, outline color, animation speed, and more. Why not try your hand at fabricating your own unique, green, festive St. Patrick's Day messages, specially catered to your friends' personalities and MySpace pages?

Have fun and Happy Saint Patrick's Day!

Yeah, MySpace seems more like it's for kids, really. I can get sucked into Facebook, though. It's fun, plus a great poetry networking tool.

Interesting! I don't usually mess around with the myspace or facebook thing. I have those, but can't get interested in spending that much time on it.
