When you first walk into Salad Creations, all of the chefs yell out "Welcome to Salad Creations." You stand in line much like you do at a Quiznos or a Subway. If you want to design your own salad, for $6.99 and unlimited toppings, you are first asked what kind of lettuce you would like. You can choose from iceberg, romaine, spring mix or spinach. This is put in a large metal mixing bowl. Next they ask you what kind of "throw ins" you would like to add. You can choose from as many as you like. There are all different kinds of veggies, fruits, nuts, cheeses, and the like.
They have several types of meat and fish (they call it protein) to choose from. Next is the dressing. There are 16 variety, some are even carb free or low fat. The last step is for you to choose if you want it chopped or tossed. If you have them chop it, they get out this large, rounded blade, and chop it up in the metal bowl, which makes a lot of noise. Tossed just means everything stays whole, including the entire hard boiled egg if you had them add that to your salad. After your salad is complete, you check out and the end of the line. If you are dining in, they give you the mixing bowl to eat out of and if you are carrying it out, they put it in a to go container.
There are other options you have available to you at Salad Creations. Besides designing your own salad, there are featured salads, where the salads are still made fresh, just with predetermined ingredients. The also have a variety of wraps and soups. You can get cookies for dessert and bottle water, fountain drinks or smoothies for a drink.
Salad Creations is fast food, that is fresh and healthy. The restaurant I visited in Clinton Township, MI was very clean. The staff was friendly as well. I would go back there time and time again. They even have a "Salad Club Card." When you buy 8 salads or wraps that cost $4.99 or more, you get your 9th one free.
I love salads and therefore, this place is a huge hit with me. I like how there is so much variety from the types of lettuce to the kind of ingredients. One thing I didn't care for was if you want meat added to your salad that you design, it costs $2.25 - $3.50 extra, which then makes the salad kind of costly. Overall though, I definitely a huge fan of this place and will continue to be.

Post a CommentWhat a great idea. I wish they would open one near me.
What if the crowds start pouring in? The chef's are going to be so busy yelling out their welcome that they're going to slack on making the food lol. This is interesting, I've never even heard of this chain before.
Very cool, thanks for telling me about this new fast food type of restaurant! :)
Now this is a chain I could really go for! I hope we get one near hear!!!
Salad Rules!
Now that idea is a winner! No reason to eat those high fat burgers when you can stop in for a nutritious salad!
