Sales Team Recognition Ideas

A winning sales team works hard even tirelessly to reach the goals set by the department manger. If your sales team or a team member landed a big client or made a large sale, the deed needs to be recognized. Even small businesses or companies that cannot afford to shell out extra dough for bonuses and prizes can make an effort to recognize star players. Use sales team recognition ideas to show how much you appreciate the extra effort and your employee's commitment to the success of your company. Give public recognition to your sales team with these sales team recognition ideas.

Lunch with the Boss

Invite the winning sales team or sales person out for lunch with the boss. To add to excitement of the occasion, ask a senior manager or CEO to lunch with the winners too. A one-minute inspirational thought and an opportunity for some one one with a company legend will be a prize everyone will want.

Personal, Public Thanks

Gather the troops together for an office meeting. Ask your winning sales team or salesperson to stand for applause. Congratulate the team on their win and name everyone individually. Encourage the employees to come shake their hands and congratulate them too. If the win is a big, long-awaited one, than make it a special dinner or cocktail party where the same kind of recognition is given.

Parking Spot Privilege

Allow the salesperson access to a special parking spot. Grant permission for use of the spot for a month or six months. Not only will you recognize the salesman for his hard work but you will create some competition for a tangible, desirable prize.

Employee of the Month

Put a picture of the winning team in a picture frame and display it somewhere prominent. The winning team will have some star status at least until another star team arises.

Special Token

Purchase some small token to be used as a victory symbol in your office. This could be something as silly as a wind up toy, a gold statue or a jar of candy. This special token should be handed to the sales winner. Let them retain ownership of the special token until someone else beats their numbers.
