Sally Hansen Ultra HD Nail Polish - Super Sparkly, Satiny Colors for Your Nails

Gwendolyn Taylor
As an avid nail polish addict, I am always attracted to new shades and collections of nail polish, especially sparkly and bright colors. Recently, the infamous nail polish brand, Sally Hansen, has expanded their product line with hip and chic new shades with their "Ultra HD" collection. Perfect for the summer season and really for all year round, this collection features colors that will definitely make your nails get noticed instantly. Along with funky electronics based names these new nail polishes will sure to be a big hit and already huge favorites of mine.

The collection features 8 new colors: Laser (a sparkly, deep purple/blue color), DVD (a sparkly, sheer purple/blue color), Spectrum (a sparkly, bright turquoise color), Resolution (a satiny, deep green shade), Hue (a satiny, bight canary yellow shade), Wavelength (a satiny, coral/dark pink shade), LCD (a sparkly bright pink color), and Byte (a sparkly deep bright magenta color). All colors are fun and eye-catching, but my all time favorite colors are DVD, Spectrum, Hue, and LCD. The sparkly colors need at least two to three coats to get the best effect since they are sheerer upon application, but the satiny shades only need one or two coats. These are great for layering on top of each other and neat color combinations can be produced when done so. These shades dry fast and like all other Sally Hansen nail polishes I have tried in the past, they last for a very long time which is a huge plus for frequent hand washers like me.

These nail colors are supplemental to the regular Sally Hansen "HD" collection. The original "HD" collection features similar shades, just without the extra sparkle and shine. The new "Ultra HD" collection retails for about $5-$6 per .5 fl oz bottle each and can be found in mass merchandise stores, drugstores, and specialty beauty stores such as ULTA. It is not certain whether these will only be released for a limited time or will be permanently situated into the rest of Sally Hansen's nail product line so be sure to grab these fast before they are all gone.
