Sally Hanson Cheek, Lip and Eye Color Stick with Brush

Amy Witthohn
I have searched long and hard for a makeup that can provide more than one function. Plus look good too with no luck. Then I was in the makeup aisle in Rite-Aid, and I saw something new from Sally Hanson. A fat stick about 3 inches in length with the color stick on one end and the brush on the other. The color was mauve, and it had more of a brown tint to it and not pink. Which was exactly what I was looking for. I was skeptical at first because I have problems finding colors that are right for me. I am a combination of cool and warm.

I get my new treasure home and I want to try it on my cheeks first. I dotted a couple circles of color on my cheekbone and used the brush to sweep the color on my cheeks. It was perfect, I love it. The color was just the right shade and it had the matte look that I love.

Now for the lips I added a thin amount to my lower lip and then rubbed lips together and presto. It was a very nice color, but a little dry looking on my lips. I grabbed my favorite lip gloss Lancome Juicy Tubes and added a couple dabs, and had some pretty beautiful looking lips.

I'm really excited by this point, I threw all caution to the wind. I thought " What the heck lets try it on the eyes too" Do I even need to give a walk through on this disaster? There may be a select group of people that call pull off mauve on the eye lids. I am not one of these people. Actually I looked like I had a severe eye infection. The same color on all eye, cheeks, and lips at the same time is complete over kill. I am not saying it can't be done, but on me it was hideous. The lip and cheek combination however was spectacular. This is a great product for mixing too, it offers a great base coat. I add stuff over it all the time like glitter and it stays really well.

I do love this product. The color is long wearing, it looks very pretty on, and the built in brush is a wonderful feature. This product makes my life a whole lot more convenient too. It fits neatly in my purse and it limits the amount of clutter in my makeup bag. Its cheap, and fun. Just remember you will need a "HUGE" sharpener for this product, which I found at Rite-Aid too.

I live life to the fullest extent that I can, I have 2 daughters 11 months apart and the antics that they do on a daily basis will keep me on my toes for a long time.  View profile
