Sally's Cats, a Flash-based Skill-based Strategy
An Overview of a Visually Entertaining Skill-based Flash Animation
Game Background
Sally the witch lives with her cats in a forest. One day Sally comes home to find her cats missing. Upon hearing her cats in the woods, she sets out on her broom into the forest to rescue her beloved cats.
Gameplay
The objective of Sally's Cats is to rescue all of Sally's cats, most of which are stuck up in trees. The primary obstacles that you will encounter when trying to rescue Sally's cats are the branches of the trees.
To begin the level, click on the pumpkin. The pumpkin doubles as the level's timer, and triples as the pause button. To view how much time is left, simply move your mouse cursor over the pumpkin. To pause the game, simply double-click on the pumpkin. You will need to rescue Sally's cats before the timer runs out to proceed in the game.
To rescue a cat, move Sally so that she is positioned in such a way that she can make a direct magical hook to catch the cat. To set up the magic hook, click on the cat. A line will be drawn between Sally and the cat. Click on Sally to reel in the cat. Branches or distance or a number of other things that you will encounter in the game may get in the way and hinder how well you can reel in Sally's cat to Sally.
You will learn how to use a number of other skills. One such skill involves creating a string in mid-air to catch falling cats or other objects. To create this magical string, simply click two locations on the screen quickly. A string will then appear between the two places that you clicked.
Game Review
Sally's Cats is a fun little skill-based game. With 25 levels for you to enjoy, you will have a wonderful time trying to rescue Sally's cats. The music and artwork add to the game's appeal. Though there isn't a great deal of gameplay involved, the strategy needed to complete the game make up for the lack of gameplay.
Overall, Sally's Cats scores an 8/10 for providing a good amount of entertainment in a visually appealing flash animation.
