Salmonella Leads to a Massive Egg Recall

A Large Egg Recall; Are You Affected?

Big news today: A salmonella outbreak caused a massive egg recall -- Now up to half a Billion eggs.

This recall is for eggs purchased between May 16 and Aug. 13. So far, the confirmed states with infected eggs are Colorado, California and Minnesota. Possible affected brands are listed, as well as the production numbers to be on the watch for.

If you have any of these eggs, please don't eat them; return them to the store. Yet, if your one of the millions who eat eggs and purchased the ones in May/June/July and no longer have the cartons or the eggs, keep a watch out for the potential symptoms of Salmonella: fever, diarrhea and cramps. If you experience these symptoms, please contact your doctor as soon as possible.

The eggs come in packages stamped with one of these three plant numbers: P1026, P1413 or P1946.
