Salsa Roja is a sauce many restaurants use on their entries before the main meal is made. Salsa Roja is added to chips or maybe used as dipping sauce for tacos or a side for many Mexican dishes. Salsa Roja is used at parties for dipping chips, and at many Mexican Weddings. Salsa Roja gives a spike to any dish, and the hot flavor people love, but the hotness is regulated with the amount of jalapeno pepper added and the amount of limejuice added.
Salsa Roja is very simple to make and in these next few sentences I will explain what Salsa Roja is made out of. To begin with the main ingredient in making Salsa Roja is jalapeno pepper sauce and I use the kind that is concentrate in a can. Then I add whole tomatoes out of a can to the mix, and then I mix with a mixer. When adding the whole tomatoes out of the can I pour the tomato juice into the mix. Then I add powder garlic for flavoring, and some salt. But, then finally I add some real fresh cut lime limejuice by squeezing the lime juice with my hand. And, the end result is amazing and very tasteful. When tasting the Salsa Roja if it's too hot just add a little more lemon juice, or during the making process do not add as much jalapeno pepper sauce. Some people like to eat Salsa Roja very hot in taste, but I love mine mild and not too hot. I guess it all depends on a person's taste buds and how much hotness they can tolerate.
I would recommend Salsa Roja at football game parties, or maybe at a birthday party. Whatever the occasion is I would recommend spiking your get togethers with this sauce. You can also make Salsa Roja's presentation very interesting by using Mexican style bowls that are very colorful to add the brightness to the party. I hope you enjoy this food, and please leave me comments.
