Sam Edelman Nikola Wedge Thong Sandal

The women's Sam Edelman Nikola sandal is one of the most attractive sandals to hit the shelves for the spring and summer seasons of 2011. It has a romantic, wrap-around buckled style that would manage to accent the look of just about any woman '" truly a beautiful piece of footwear this year.

Design details: The Nikola thong sandal not only has a great style, but it also has a rich suede upper that gives it more visual appeal and more of a pleasure to wear. Thick stylish buckle at the ankle, a wrap around material. The Heel is about 2 3/4" high, it also has a bit of a platform of almost an inch. It is available in Chateau Grey and Black versions and has a retail price of around $150.

While this sandal is one of my own personal top picks, I have managed to track down a few other similar looking sandals that shoppers may want to take a look at before making a final purchase:

Promiscuous Tsiyone Thong Sandal: Upper made from synthetic leather, it also features a back zipper to make it easy to get on and off. Thong sandal style, with accents to stud the sandal and give it a real flair. The Tsiyone has about a 2 inch heel height. It comes in Black, Camel and Grey shades and retails for around $79.

The Cool People Mailys Thong Sandal: Made with real leather for the upper, and a handy back zipper closure. Thong design sandal, it has a covered heel style (love it!), and stud accenting about the strapping of the sandal. The Mailys sandal is available in a Brown shade only and retails for around $115.

Steven by Steve Madden Raptture Thong Sandal: I am a fan of just about anything coming from the Steve Madden lines, and the Steven Raptture is no exception. Made with a suede upper, and a handy back zip closure. The uppere has a fun reptile looking design that adds quite a bit to the look. These sandals have a playful design that makes the ladies wearing them stand out among a crowd. It comes in Black, Coral, Taupe and Yellow shades and has a retail price of around $99.

While each of the sandals above is visually similar to the Sam Edelman Nikola sandal, all of them most definitely have one thing in common: they are available to purchase online, often with a lower price than in retail stores and with free shipping and returns.
