Sam Edelman Parley Boot for Women
The Women's New Parley Boot from Sam Edelman and Other Similar Bootie Styles This Year
Sometimes sleek and simple can be the best when it comes to fashion, and such seems to be the case with the new women's Sam Edelman Parley Boot. This boot has an extremely polished and sleek look, like no other boot I have personally come across this year. It also features a western style - a fun combination when put together with the side zipper.
It is constructed from distressed leather for the upper, it has a bit of a cushioned heel for comfort and just enough heel to give it a bit of lift and a touch of femininity.
While I do recommend this boot as a great choice in both style and reasonable pricing, still there are other similar types of booties for women this year that you might choose to check out first:
Frye Melissa Button Short: Gorgeous leather upper construction, with a zipper inside to make these boots super easy to get on and off. The signature buttons of the Melissa boot on the side, with bootstraps for an added touch in style. Just a touch of a heel with a 1 inch lift for the ladies. There are quite a few different picks in colors for the Melissa Button Short boot for women, including Tan, Bordeaux, Cognac, Dark Brown and Fawn and it retails for around $268.
Sam Edelman Petty Boot: Suede leather construction for the upper, it also has a slightly cushioned footbed and like the Parley, it features a side zipper closure. While this boot has some similarities to the Parley, it really is a style all its own with a bit less of a western look, having more of a sleek and elegant design to it. It is available in Moss Green (at this writing) and has a list retail price of around $160.
Paul Green Jeeves Boot: This boot practically oozes elegance - it has a lovely curved look to the design, with only a touch of a heel. It comes in both suede and leather versions, and has a slip on construction with elastic side goring as well as a pull tab to make them ultra easy to get on and off. It is available in colors including Taupe Suede and Sport Moro and has a retail price tag of around $315.
While of course I would recommend the Sam Edelman Parley as a good choice in women's short boots this year, the additional styles above also appear to be good choices coming into the fall season of 2011. It seems that the prices on these picks vary quite a bit, possibly making one boot a better pick over the others.
