Sam Edelman Viva Bootie for Women

The New Viva Bootie from Sam Edelman and Other Comparable Bootie Styles

Tonya Brisnehan
The Sam Edelman Viva Bootie is the epitome of sleek when it comes to women's ankle boot styles. It is made from a smooth polished leather, with a sort of long up the leg design and without any added details on the upper, which somehow adds to the elegance of the style. The heel on this ankle boot has quite an interesting and funky look having a sort of cut in half look with different materials for the surface of the wedge. Available at this writing in the single color of black and has a retail price of around 250.

For those ladies who appreciate the style of the Viva yet have not fully decided on this as a purchase, here are a few other bootie styles that will likely appeal to your tastes:

Sam Edelman Rowin:

Another gorgeous bootie being introduced into the Edelman collection for the fall and winter seasons of 2011 is the Rowin ankle boot. While this bootie has some added features when compared to the Viva it still has the familiar height and general cut. This bootie has lacing up the front and side goring, adding some very fashionable details for those ladies who like a bit more with the bootie look. It comes in four rich colors and has a retail price of around $200.

Sam Edelman Loni:

The Loni bootie is constructed from either suede or leather, with different colors available in different materials. This bootie is also particularly sleek but with some added detailing of a buckled strap around the back of the ankle and a bit of a lower height with the top of the shaft having a cut in design. It features a thick ankle yet is not a wedge style, with about the same height as the Sam Edelman Viva. Available in a total of three different colors and with a retail price of around $170.

KORS Michael Kors Channing:

The Channing bootie may have the most similar appearance to the Viva compared to the rest on this list. It has a gorgeous high wedge style heel and like the Edelman Viva ankle boot it also has a bit of a platform. The main difference with this bootie is a lace up style, which is gorgeous but does set it apart as a bit varied in looks. Available in three rich colors and has a retail price of around $350.

Any of the ankle boots above including the Sam Edelman Viva bootie appear to be great choices to spiff up just about any ensemble coming into the fall and winter of 2011.
