Stores like Walmart, CVS, Kmart, etc. will donate items to this non-profit organization that they're going to be throwing away due to some type of defect. Perhaps a batch of shirts arrived at a store with a minor discoloration on them and the store can't put such items on their racks for sale. Instead of throwing them out, they donate them to Samaritan's Promise. While the items sold at Samaritan's Promise may be in bent boxes, be irregular in size or shape, or even accidentally opened and resealed with tape, you still receive excellent deals on the items sold, and everything's always in good, usable shape.
Residents living in the town of Andrews, Murphy, Peachtree, Marble as well those living in surrounding counties can shop at Samaritan's Promise if they have low to moderate income. Proof, such as a paycheck stub, can be supplied, along with a completed application. Applications are looked at and approved immediately so you won't have to wait to start shopping. If you spend more than $20 during a shopping trip, you'll be entitled to free items, such as clothes, cologne, toothpaste, or whatever maybe be offered at the time.
Samaritan's Promise is located on Main Street in the Fred's shopping center, and no appointment is necessary. Their hours are Tuesday's, Friday's and Saturday's from 10:00 am - 4:00 pm. Each time you drop in, whether you're there to buy one thing or twenty, all you have to do is sign in before shopping. There's always a sign-in booklet on the front counter as you enter the store so you can sign your name, write down which county you live in as well as how many people are in your family.
The staff at Samaritan's Promise are very friendly and helpful and will assist you in any way necessary. If you need help finding a particular item, carrying items out to your car, or something else totally different, you can count on the staff to do whatever it takes to provide you with optimal service.
