Same Sex Marriage: Crazy, Random Thoughts in My Head

This is an Article About Same Sex Marriage that I Am Typing Up at 1.07am, Way Past Midnight. I Can't Sleep for Some Reason. So I Decided to Put Down the Random Thoughts that Are in My Head

CB
I have no clue what I am doing writing this article. It's like an experiment I guess. It is 1.09am, way past mid-night and I have decided to write this random article- no research no nothing. Just putting down a few thoughts before I hit the bed.. Zzz...

I am not too sure why I can't sleep. One of those nights I guess.. I am sure you all have been there, done that. Times when you are exhausted, yet for some strange reason you cannot sleep. Perhaps something in our sub-conscious keeps us awake? Perhaps..

I was thinking about a few things today. I was reading about same sex marriage in a news article. It upsets me that people are so intolerant. I am pro same sex marriages.

I don't get it really. Religion gets dragged into everything. It's cool for everyone to have their own set of beliefs. Why does one person's belief system have to be better than another person's? Why is same sex marriage "not OK" to many? What is so "unethical" about same sex marriage?

Also, someone please help me understand this. Those who are religious, have faith in God. They believe that God created everything. So God created homos, bi, heteros, transvestites and so on, yeah? Then how can you be against the will of God?? I have never understood this part of it. So I think that people who are religious should be even more in favor of gay rights! They should be pro same sex marriage for sure. After all God made us all.

I am super duper straight and if I were homo, I would definitely not be ashamed of it in anyway. But I had to make this point and support same sex marriage. And right now since I am rambling on, I decided to go on and GO for it! LOL

I hope I don't offend anyone, but these are my thoughts. I am and shall always be in support of love and same sex marriage.

I have a tendency to analyze things a little too much and though this article did not impact me directly, a very dear friend of mine is Gay and I had to speak up.

Oh well, I am done for now. I would be surprised if this article got even 2 views. But I did what I had to. If you did get here and read all of this, thanks for hearing out this crazy sleepless girl and her same sex marriage views. *Wink*

It always is curious to me how heterosexuals are so much more interested in homosexuals, than homosexuals are in heterosexuals.
    Good article.

i'll hazard a guess on the same sex marriage piece. i think a lot of religious people are intolerant of same sex marriage for the following reason: they believe homosexuality is a choice.

very interesing read, thanks for sharing your thoughts. I was raised in a very strict catholic family, but this issue (as any sexual issue) was never raised in the house. I was raised by my grandparents, so yeah, very strict. I have myself expressed opinions on the other side of the issue, bu if people are going to judge if its right or wrong based on religion you raise a very important topic. When you said God made us all, whether it be gay or straight, that gave me some food for thought. Thank you for giving me something to think about:)

Interesting late night rant. Man, if I could write late in the night (vivid dreams and obscure thoughts included), I'd either be considered a genius, a man of our times, or they'd lock me up somewhere for expressing my mind.....

I am a Christain and to be honest I don't get the entire "marriage" debate anyway. No where in the bible have I found that the state is the one to sanctify marriage in the first place. What right does any government have to tell us who we can love, same sex, opposite sex or whatever. So since state approved marriages are not mentioned in the bible then what does anyone's beliefs have to do with same sex marriages?
