Even with her will of steel there is still something about Sami Brady that makes the viewer root for her and cry when she gets her heart broken. There is a vulnerability to Sami that reminds everyone of someone they know or even of themselves. Being hurt and cast aside one too many times Sami fears being up front with the people in her life because she expects rejection.
When cornered Sami not only gets mad she gets even with a vengeance. In a recent episode after discovering that she had once again been betrayed by her fiancée's mother, Kate Roberts, Sami took the gloves off once again and caused Kate the greatest of humiliation by switching a DVD that Kate was showing to potential clients for her company and instead of a corporate presentation they met Kate and her current lover in the most intimate of ways. Sami Brady never fails to get even in spades and make her fans laugh out loud in the process.
Of course, Sami's targets are not always people have brought it on by doing harm to Sami; instead they just happen to be standing in her way. Blackmailing Dr. Lexie Carver to convince Sami's half-sister Carrie that having a child with her love Austin could result in a child with a terrible illness was not one of Sami's best moments but Sami wanted Austin and the only way that would happen was to get Carrie out of her way. In the end it all came out and Sami was left alone but it did work long enough for Sami to get Austin to the alter before she dumped him there.
Walking down the aisle more times than most, Sami has yet to actually tie the knot with her many love interests. Even though Sami was fixated on her sister's husband Austin for many years Sami always seems to find herself back with Lucas, the father of her son, Will.
As a couple Sami and Lucas make sense, they are good together and good for one another but every time Sami gets close to having a happy ending with Lucas his mother Kate always finds a way to disrupt their happiness by exposing Sami's latest scheme to hang onto Lucas. Fans never give up on the belief that Sami and Lucas are meant to be and eventually they will find their way to a lifetime of happiness together.
While most daytime drama characters are often one sided, Sami Brady is a well rounded character with both a villainous side as well as a side that makes your heart break for her pain. She has hurt others but in the end she hurts herself the most. As a young woman simply seeking love and acceptance she is still learning that she only needs to be herself to find that true love and acceptance from others.
Sami Brady is not only the best character on Days Of Our Lives but one of the best in daytime drama today. Her passion for life and those she loves often sends her on the wrong path but her intentions are usually good and even when they aren't so good, she schemes with flair, style and never fails to completely draw her fans into her web of deceit.
If you haven't seen Sami Brady in action then take the time one weekday after and turn on Days Of Our Lives and watch Sami Brady in action. You will find yourself rooting for her as she tries to get her man or takes revenge on those who have done her wrong. You will always find yourself on the edge of your seat and you will never be disappointed by the creative imagination of Sami Brady.
