Sammy Sosa's Skin Bleached? Why?

Gary Davis
Sammy Sosa skin bleached? He obviously he had some dermatological procedure performed. The picture on our reference page shows Sammy Sosa with what appears to be bleached skin. Bleaching is what gives skin a white appearance and Sammy Sosa's skin definitely looked white.

Meena Kar has posted an article on Thaindian News titled "Sammy Sosa Pictures of Latin Grammy Night Shows His New Complexion."

I wrote an initial article about Sosa's treatment and said being a Cubs fan when I saw close-ups of Sammy Sosa I noticed an affectation on his neck in particular that resembled a mild acne that easily could have been from heat and perhaps it is true the sun did affect his skin tone or texture that he wanted to reverse.

Rebecca Polihronis who is a very good friend of Sammy Sosa and was a past employee of the Cubs said there were treatments women used to try and rejuvenate their skin and that is all Sammy Sosa was doing.

She assured people that Sammy Sosa was not interested in trading his black skin for white through a bleaching method which was what the popular consideration was.

Wrigley Field is hard on a player with the way it is built and more importantly as I have said the Cubs seemed to want to cling to day games.

The most logical explanations as discussed in today's article by Meena Karr today and my article yesterday is to try and adjust some abuse the sun gave Sosa over his playing career with a team that had a heavy number of day games or the possibility of a condition called vitiligo.

What is vitiligo?

Vitiligo is a discoloration of the skin most noticeable in black people or Hispanics. Something I did not know in my article yesterday is that those who take steroids are more at risk.

That is the problem that Michael Jackson had. He didn't have success with his operations and each one helped define the ultimate failure of his skin tone rejuvenation.

Rebecca Polihronis once again refused to agree that Sammy Sosa's bleached skin was not intentional but she did admit that it was "weird."
