Samsung 8.0 Mega-Pixel: A Great Digital Camera

There are some moments when I stumble across a digital camera, that I get this feeling in the pit of my belly. It's because I know that I have found something that is truly great. In this industry it is very hard to find a quality product that will give you amazing picture quality as well as longevity that will last you years. Well, I have discovered a new digital camera that has all of those qualities. I am talking about the Samsung 8.0-MegaPixel Digital Camera, Model: Pro 815. This camera has so many features that will make you want to spend all of your time taking breathtaking photographs. If you are a professional, or amateur, photographer than this camera will really make you excited.

One of the features that really makes this camera stand out are the built-in lenses, that come in a wide range as well as telephoto range. This is perfect if you are filming at a variety of different angles and distances. Perfect for family vacations, or professional photo shoots. Another great feature is the 8.0-MegaPixels and the CCD that gives you high-resolution images with pixels up to 3264 x 1448. You will be shocked when you see the clarity your pictures will have. Also, this camera has really great zooming capabilities. You get 15x's optical zoom, 4x's digital zoom and a total zoom of 60x's. And going back to the lenses you will be filming through the precision-crafted Schneider-Kreuznach lens that has 4 low-dispersion glass lenses and 2 aspherical lenses. After you've taken your pictures, you can view them on the 3.5" rear color TFT-LCD with Transmissive with Microreflective technology, or TMR.

Another great feature is the extremely fast start-up time. How many times have you wanted to take a picture of a moment that is just happening, but by the time your camera starts and is ready to shoot, that precious moment has passed? Well, with this Samsung digital camera, you will never have to worry about that again because the start-up time is just 1 second, and the shutter lag time is only 0.05 seconds. Now, you'll always be able to capture that perfect moment, and this feature is enough for me. However, this is absolutely not the only feature of this camera. You also get to choose between various shooting modes. Some of these modes include children, backlight, text, sunset, portrait, night, auto and fireworks - just to name a few.

So you want to do more than just take still images? Well, you're in luck because this camera has a video mode. You can record movie clips at various different pixel resolutions, depending on the situation and how well you want to quality to turn out. This is perfect if you want to spare the room on your memory card, but still want to record funny moments with your friends. Now, you can record those silly moments, without taking up a lot of your memory space. The various recording modes include the following resolutions 320 x 240, 640 x 480 and 160 x 120.

All of these resolutions are shot with either 25 fps (frames per second) or 15 fps, as well as recording stereo sound. One really cool feature that is just an extra "perk" is you can record up to 10 seconds of voice memo with your still images. So now, you have a fun commentary to go along with your photographs. And lastly, whenever you're ready to upload your images into your computer you can do so with the USB 2.0 interface and A/V outputs. Also, if you have a PictBridge-enabled printer you can attach your camera directly to the printer and BAM, you have your pictures.

The features that I have talked about are the ones that I am most excited about. However, it definitely isn't all that this camera has to offer. Yet, there is one small feature that I forgot to mention earlier, and that is the price. One would expect that this camera would cost you at least one thousand dollars. However, this camera averages around $600, although, if you shop around you can find amazing deals with this Samsung digital camera -- some give you a $100 discount.
