Samsung A870 Cell Phone Review

Mike Harris
The samsung a870, or some version of it, has been around for a couple of years now. It is a basic, sleek flip phone. It still sells well in Verizon stores across the country, and there are several reasons why.

Features: The screen format is very simple to figure out. Out of all the phones I have had or dealt with, the way things work on this one (camera, text messaging, calling) seem to make the most sense. It has thirty megabytes of memory, which I have never even come close to filling. (Even with several games and ringtones downloaded.) Also, it has a flash enabled digital camera. The picture quality is decent, although as with any camera phone colors and lighting can be skewed. It additionally comes bluetooth enabled, has a speakerphone, and if signed up with certain services a mobile web browser.

Battery: The battery life on this phone is impressive to say the least. I have forgotten a charger countless times, sometimes not charging but still using it for three or four days at a time. And as long as I didn't use it excessively, the battery seemed to have a knack for holding out just long enough.

Durability: This is what I liked best about the phone. In the 2 years I owned it, I gave it a genuine beating with no adverse effects. It was covered in scratches, dropped all the time, and even exposed to water now and then. Regardless of what I did to it, the phone just kept on trucking. No loss of battery life, no weaker reception, the thing was pretty much miraculous.

So, if you're looking for a good quality, sleek, and dependable phone; look no further than the Samsung a870. Best of all, it is one of the lowest priced phones that the Verizon service provider has to offer.
