The Samsung LN46C750 is reasonably priced for its size, being HD, and especially for it being 3-D. At just under $1300 it is not to expensive considering what it offers. You would expect a TV with the newest features in home entertainment would cost much more. While a $1300 TV is a bit pricey for what you get I would say this TV is a good deal.
The LN46C750 has some advantages to other large TVs and to other 3-D TVs. Many of the new 3-D TVs are LED which is energy efficient but the LCD display is also energy efficient though not quiet as good. I prefer the LCD to an LED though because the LED do burn out even though it will take along time for them to burn out. I would never buy a plasma though my brother had two and they both burned out much sooner then they were supposed to. The one disadvantage the LCD does have is if the angle is off you can have glare problems so if you are going to have large numbers of people watching then not everyone will get the optimal experience. When using a 3-D TV though you have this same problem ass well with the 3-D so it is not such a big deal. In terms of picture with the HD picture I am very happy with its picture.
You have a good size TV, a good picture, and at a good price what else could you want? Well lets face it the reason you are would spend $1300 for a TV this size is for the 3-D. So how does the 3-D stack up or more precisely out? I was not impressed at all with the 3-D to be fair to the TV none of the new 3-D TVs are that good contrary to what the commercials tell you. Just go out to a store that has a 3-D TV and ask to try it and you will see what I mean. Yes you will get a show or movie in 3-D but it will barley be 3-D. While anything can be converted into 3-D everyone needs to have the glasses to be able to see in 3-D, and the depth of the 3-D looks small it appears that there is a background and then whatever is happening is only a half or maybe an inch away from that. The 3-D appears flat. Also you will notice they only show cartoons in 3-D which is also why they show projectors with cartoons, it appears better with animation then real life.
If you do want a 3-D TV then this a good choice. However if you are like me and see it as a cheap gimmick then you will want to buy a none 3-D TV. I would be happy to have a 3-D TV, thank how cool a movie like Star Wars would be in 3-D but with the low quality of the 3-D I do not think it is worth it. I do not know if they can improve the quality of the 3-D so I would not suggest holding out for something better if you want the 3-D TV. Overall if low quality 3-D is worth the extra money then the Samsung LN46C750 is a good deal for you but otherwise it is not worth getting.
