Samsung LN4b750 Review: The Plugged in TV

Jim Posey
The last time you were wowed by a TV set might have been awhile. After a while they all just merge into a black sea and silver sea of expensive Asian material each one blander than the last. That's before the Samsung LN46B750. The features that are packed into the Samsungs LN46B750 are what tech heads have been waiting for to get their blood pressure up.

The Samsung LN46B750 has a crisp contrast ration. You can see vivid colors and the contrast of the brightness makes it seems like your looking outside of your living room. For an LCD, the picture looks great.

One of the more excited features of the Samsung LN46B750 is the internet capabilities. Finally internet and TV are joined into a entertainment juggernaut that sits right into your living room. You will be able to connect directly to the internet through your TV, through a feature called Media 2.0.

Using a TV to explore the internet is fresh and kind of fun but I doubt people will be doing any serious surfing on the TV. I suspect that the real function this internet TV will serve is to download movies and videos to watch them directly on your Samsung LN46B750.

Another feature included in the Samsung LN46B750 is a USB port to connect to your phone or USB storage device. This makes it easy for you to dump your photos on the TV's hard drive. This is a better way to show off vacation photos then parking everyone around a computer to see those precious memories.

Another feature of the set is having picture to picture capabilities. You can essentially watch two things at any time. One program occupying a small corner of the LCD's real estate while the other filling out the rest. It's easy to switch between the small picture and the bigger picture.

The sound that comes with the system is not bad by any means. The system features that come with the Samsung LN46B750. It will not compare to higher end independent sound systems form Bose, let's say, but will do just fine to deliver the whole of the movie experience.

The Samsung LN46B750 makes an interesting proposition. It entices you with new features such as connecting to the internet to download movies and videos. Its USB capabilities will come in handy for people who want to show off their photos. Its picture is clear.
