Samsung SC-DX205 Digital Camcorder Review

A great value digital camcorder is the Samsung SC-DX205 DVD which has a 34x zoom lens. The camcorder features a 2.7" LCD screen that is compact and allows you to view your shots as you take them. The Samsung SC-DX205 has an 800 x 600 image resolution that produces clear bright pictures. The camcorder only weighs about 13 ounces, which makes it very lightweight and easy to carry around. The digital camera doesn't record on tapes, but to DVD's which is a great feature than trying to download from a tape to your PC. You can record to mini DVD-RWs, DVD-R DLs and DVD-Rs which will save a lot of time versus trying to download from a tape or memory card. You can also record to a memory card as well if you don't like recording to DVDs. The camera has a USB 2.0 adapter that will allow you to download your videos to you PC.

One of the neat aspects of the Samsung SC-DX205 is that it's a hybrid that has a battery that gives you up to 100 minutes of record time and around 1 ½ hours of playback of your videos. This Samsung DVD camcorder has another great feature in this day of digital uploads to the Internet where you can load videos up to Youtube.com very easily. This helps eliminate time in uploading the videos to your PC then downloading to YouTube. The camera comes with editing software so you can fix your videos before uploading to any site.

The Samsung SC-DX205 is not a top of the line digital camcorder, but for the price and features it's a great camcorder for everyday use. The digital camera retails for around $280. The digital camera fits in the palm or your hand and allows you to zoom into your shots or turn to take different angle shots.

The SC-DX205 digital camcorder is robust and compact. The durability is okay, but I wouldn't want to drop it because it will probably break very easily just as any other camcorder. This camcorder is a great value especially if you're a novice because the directions are easy to use and it comes with just enough features that will allow you to capture those special moments and share with your friends and family.
