Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 Cell Phone Review: Does This Good-Looking Cell Phone Deliver?

Jack Woods
The Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 Cell Phone is a cool handy piece of art. It is easy to use, looks terrific, unique, small, is not a flip phone and comes with a great MP3 player. It not only has an excellent sound quality, but also is not as bulky as a iPhone or a iTouch. To fully appreciate the sound quality, it is important to use good quality external speakers, or headphones. I love it when I connect it via Bluetooth, or the iPod port to the speaker system in my sports car. Its Hi-Fi quality comes out to make the music come alive.

The pros with the Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 Cell Phone are many. The sound quality is excellent and the phone makes it easy to browse the web. The other feature I liked, was the user interface of the Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 Cell Phone, and I did not find any major issues with it other than a need for some more customization. The buttons in the front side though look a bit smaller, but cause no problems when in use. Getting music and pictures on the phone is easy to do. The camera has good quality for a phone, though there's no flash support. The battery life of the Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 Cell phone is amazing with the extended battery. The extended battery acts as a leather case for the phone, and works well too. So far, I have had no problems with reception ,or dropped calls, thanks to the superior reach and data quality of Sprint.

However, the Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 Cell Phone does not have everything on the upside. The worst part comes when you change between the two screens on the different sides of the phone. The screen side is difficult to navigate without the touch screen. The touch wheel of the Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 Cell Phone is a bit clunky as well. You can scroll with it, but sometimes it will go to the end or go back, because those options are present on the touch wheel, making it difficult to choose the items on the menu. This may become a pain in the back, because the default setting is Sprint's online music store, and you land there every time the phone fails to recognize your selection. Another downside of the Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 Cell Phone is the inconvenient text entry process. The screen on the one side, and keypad on the other, means you have to flip sides again, and again with the Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 Cell Phone.

Only if the Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 Cell Phone was more user-friendly, and designers had not concentrated solely on innovative design, they would have had a perfect winner on the market. The Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 Cell Phone wins over iPhone only because of Sprint's better connectivity than Verizon. The other reasons why I would like to continue using Samsung UpStage SPH-m620 cell phone is its small size, long battery life and sleek look.
