Samsung WF328AAW Freestanding Washing Machine from the SilverCare Line

A Washer that Will Leave Your Clothes Smelling like Fresh Air

The esthetics of the washer are impressive. Like any good relationship, I was initially drawn to the front loading WF328AAW on looks alone. On this ivory white washer, the blue and red LEDs really stand out while illuminating the 12 different wash cycle controls. The wash cycles include your standard settings for delicate items as well as permanent press and include a nice time delay allowing you to start the wash after you've walked away. Finally all of this model's controls are intuitive, even for the special features there is no need to read up on some lengthy manual to get this washer going.

Probably the most attractive thing about this particular model is that it comes from the popular high end SilverCare line. This line has the unique feature of bathing your laundry in silver ions along with your favorite laundry detergent, a feature that adds about 20 minutes to your typical washing time. The SilverCare feature uses cold water preserving the bright colors of your clothes as well as guarding against shrinkage. I found this to be a wonderful addition and worked much better than I had originally anticipated. The clothes seem to smell cleaner and have the smell of fresh air. If you have ever smelled the air expelled from one of those ionic breeze air filtering machines then you know the sensation I am referring to.

The WF328AAW also has several integrated reservoirs for bleach, fabric softener as well as a prewash. When combined with the delayed wash option this really takes a lot of hassle out of doing the wash. This washer is also stackable with Samsung's compatible model the DV328 dryer. Thanks to Samsungs newly designed vibration reduction technologies these are some of the quietest washing appliances I have ever used.

This is an energy star certified product so those that are green minded need not worry. The dimensions of this washer are Dimensions 27" x 32" x 39" and it has a washing capacity of 4 cubic feet. Overall I am very impressed with this washer and would recommend it without hesitation. It comes in at a price range just under $1000 which makes it an upper mid range offering. The fantastic styling, whisper-quiet washing cycles, option to stack, and special features including SilverCare washing makes it worth every penny. Look for prices to drop further as the end of the year approaches and retailers start to compete for your business especially in this slacking economy. If this hits the $700 mark it is truly a steal.
