The Sacramento area has quiet a lot of food choices. You can find most any kind of ethnic food you could want in the Sacramento area. So it should be no surprise that you can find many great sushi bars in the Sacramento area. One popular sushi bar in the Sacramento area is Samurai Sushi.
Samurai Sushi is very easy to find since it is right off of highway 50 and is lit up in lots of different colors of neon at night. Samurai Sushi is located at 12251 Folsom Blvd. in Rancho Cordova California. Samurai Sushi may not be the best sushi in the area but it is certainly the easiest to see and the brightest sushi bar in town.
Samurai Sushi is a very popular sushi spot in the Sacramento area. I would not rank Samurai Sushi as being the best sushi in the Sacramento area though. I might say that Samurai Sushi is the best sushi in Rancho Cordova though. The only real competition that Samurai Sushi has for the best sushi in Rancho Cordova is from Ichi Maki which is only a couple miles away.
Samurai Sushi and Ichi Maki seem to have similar weaknesses though. Samurai Sushi is a bit overpriced for what you get. Samurai Sushi is all about the party atmosphere. The place is popular for the young crowd. The food is only a secondary concern at Samurai Sushi. Even the bar part of a sushi bar seems to take a clear president over the sushi part of Samurai Sushi. They should just call the place Samurai bar. While I don't drink I have heard some complain of the quality and price of the bar as well.
While this might sound like Samurai Sushi is not worth going to I would not totally say that. Samurai Sushi does have some good things to eat that are house specials unique to Samurai Sushi. For instance the Lion King is a popular roll option.
The other thing about Samurai Sushi is just because it might not be about the food that does not mean that it is not a place you might want to go. Samurai Sushi is popular for the younger crowd. Samurai Sushi is very popular and is like a club but with sushi in the mix. You can tell by the outside of the building that this place is loud. I think Samurai Sushi is kind of unique and that is probably why it is so popular. It does not offer everything a club offers but it also offers more then a club. While sushi bars often are popular with youth it is odd to see one that almost tries to become a club.
Samurai Sushi is not for everyone. If you area sushi fanatic then you will probably not be happy with Samurai Sushi. If you are a young person looking for a good time though then a dinner at Samurai Sushi is what you might be looking for.
