San Antonio Spurs Take the Series Lead of 3-1 Over the Utah Jazz

San Antonio Spurs lead series with Utah Jazz three to one. I have been a Spurs fan for a number of years. Their team and their style has always been where my basketball loyalty has been. Watching the game on May 28th was no different. There were times during game four of this playoff series that you wanted to bite your nails and shout at your favorite players, but in the end they got the job done with a score of ninety-one to seventy-nine. The Spurs also put an end to the Jazz's home winning streak. The Utah Jazz had not lost a game at home in the playoffs this year.

The next game is in San Antonio on Wednesday night at nine EST on ESPN. Can the Jazz break the San Antonio streak of beating the Utah Jazz on their home court? As a Spurs fan I would definitely say no, but the games have been great to watch. It has no way been a blow out, but a sit on the edge of your chair kind of series.

San Antonio is not at the front of the NBA press. Duncan is often referred to as a whiner in the NBA. The bigger teams such as the Lakers and the Nicks seem to get all of the press during the regular season. It is during this time that the San Antonio Spurs are building one of the leagues best defense records and are working hard to put them in one of the top spots during playoff season. It is now their time to shine.

It was though; with much disappoint, to see Utah Jazz fans throwing things at the San Antonio Spurs after their loss. To me this is very unsportsman like. Even if you are only a fan sitting in the crowd, you are still part of the team, cheering your team on to victory or feeling down when they lose. Often times it is not the other teams fault for a loss, but your own players. I heard one NBA player relay the thought that yes they wanted to win, but the other team just wanted it more.

So which team wants it more? The series is headed back to the San Antonio AT&T center. It will be where the best fans in the world will be cheering their team on to the Western Conference Championship. And in the unlikely event that the Spurs lose the next game, you can bet they will be back to take this series in the end and there will be no throwing of debris on the opposing team.
