Angel Acres Equestrian Camp in the Lakeside area of San Diego is a day camp for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 14. Your youngsters will learn about life on a ranch, get riding instruction, and learn how to feed and safely handle a horse, as well as participate in games, and arts and crafts classes. A snack, lunch and country dance lessons are also included.
Eight summer sessions run Monday through Thursday from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. beginning June 18th. The cost for each summer session is $475. There is a discount for siblings and returning campers get a $25 discount. A $100 discount is offered for a repeat week of summer camp.
Angel Acres is a ten acre ranch located in Lakeside, California, which is 15 miles east of San Diego and easily reached north of Interstate 8 off State Highway 67 and Willow Road. The facility has an equestrian center with two riding arenas and offers boarding for up to 40 horses. The San Diego Humane Society offers a Summer Adventure Camp for animal lovers, ages 5-13, to interact with and learn about animals through games and crafts.
There are six, one week sessions for the Summer Animal Adventure Camp July 9 through August 17, 2007. The sessions run from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with limited extended care available for an extra fee. The cost for a one week session is $190. A downloadable application is available on the San Diego Humane Society website.
The San Diego Humane Society is located near the west end of the Mission Valley area of San Diego, a short distance from Mission Bay Park and the beach, and the Old Town district of the city. The San Diego Humane Society shelters and facilitates the adoption of animals, and rescues animals in emergency situations among other things.

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego
The summer day camp program at various locations features one field trip per week, offers arts and crafts, technology center, sports, contests and games, theme weeks, and a free lunch and afternoon snack for participants at some locations.
The membership Fee is $20 per year for San Diego sites and $60 per year for all other locations. Mataguay Boy Scout Resident Camp
Boy Scouts will have a week of fun at the Mataguay Scout Ranch located in the oak and pine forests in the mountains northeast of San Diego. The weekly sessions run from July 8-to-July 29, 2007. The fee is $265 per Scout. An application is available online at the San Diego - Imperial Council Boy Scout website.
Mataguay Scout Ranch facilities include lodges and cabins, campsites with latrines, running water, and campfire rings, as well as numerous hiking trails. Activities include archery, a swimming pool, and boating at the lake. FiestaIsland Boy Scout Resident Camp
Boy Scouts can spend a week camping on the beach at Camp Fiesta Island located on San Diego's Mission Bay. They will receive expert instruction in a wide range of aquatic merit badges which include swimming, boating, kayaking, and lifesaving.

Camp Jaycee offers traditional camps, sports camps, and theatre camps for girls and boys ages 18 months and up. Traditional camps offer a wide range of activities which include swimming, science, crafts, drama, and music. SummerQuest is just one of several camps where teenagers can explore fun, exciting activities such as white water rafting, surfing, rock climbing, and camping. There is also a Spanish or Chinese Language Immersion Camp for toddlers.
One week sessions at Camp Jaycee begin on June 18, 2007 at a cost of $195 and up depending on the activity and age group. Other camps offered at Camp Jaycee begin on June 25, 2007 with sessions that run for two or more weeks. Fees for the multi-week sessions begin at around $500.
Regular Camp Jaycee hours are Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 3:30 p.m. However, there is a half-day camp available, and some feature overnights and late nights. Extended care hours are available for most camps for an extra fee.

Devil Pups is a physically challenging, ten-day program that aims to give boys and girls ages 14-to-17 a sense of responsibility to community and country by fostering self-confidence and self-discipline. It is not a Marine Corps sponsored program, but Devil Pups Camp is held at Camp Pendleton Marine Corps Base in Oceanside, California.
Activities include conditioning exercises, first aid instruction, leadership classes, organized recreation, camping out and swimming. Educational lectures on drug and alcohol abuse, and the importance of teamwork and setting goals in life are part of the "pups" experience.
The first 10 day session begins July 19, 2007. The cost is free for those accepted into the program. Camp Pendleton is located 38 miles north of downtown San Diego. The base covers more than 125,000 acres of terrain with a 17 ½ mile coastline.

SeaWorld San Diego has a summer day camp for all kids from preschoolers up to 12th grade. Sessions begin June 2 and run through August 31, 2007. Campers get to go behind the scenes to visit with the marine animals and learn how specialists take care of them.
The fee for a preschooler and one adult to attend the parent-participation day camp is $85 for a three-morning session of songs, crafts and hands-on exploration.
