North Bay Tours
The North Bay tour includes the Shelter Islands, Naval Air Station, and Naval Submarine Base. Keep a sharp eye out for the Cabrillo National Monument (dedicated to the first European to set foot on the West Coast). This tour is about 12 miles long, lasting about an hour. If the Navy interests you, this is the tour to take.
South Bay
On this tour, you will see the Coronado Bay Bridge, the Naval surface fleet, the shipyards, and the Star of India, the world's oldest working ship at the San Diego Maritime Museum. Each of these is a feature attraction in its own right. The South Bay is a busy, exciting part of the Bay with lots to see. Like the North Bay tour, this is about 12 miles long and lasts an hour.
See it all!
It is also possible to see the entire bay on the deluxe tour. This is a two-hour tour of about 25 miles.
Considering all there is to see on these tours, prices are very reasonable. Simply contact San Diego Harbor Excursion. Whether you live in the area, or are visiting on vacation, this is one of the most comfortable ways to see the San Diego Bay. Not only that, well informed tour guides will give you all the fascinating details of everything you see.
Special Events
San Diego Harbor Excursion also offers brunch cruises, dinner cruises, and special private charter trips. You can go whale watching in the bay, or watch the sea lions, seals, and kelp forests at the Coronado Islands.
You can even include a San Diego Harbor Cruise in your wedding celebrations -- you can even include the ceremony itself, since San Diego Harbor Excursion captains are licensed to perform marriages. Not only that, the company is able to cater, photograph, and provide flowers for the wedding. The line has four ships to choose from, including the appropriately named Quiet Heart.
Prices are quite reasonable, less than the cost of a fine restaurant meal.
A trip with San Diego Harbor Excursion will enable you to do justice to your visit to San Diego Bay.
