San Diego, California is one of the most dog friendly places in the United States. Hotels, parks, shopping centers, and more and more restaurants are accommodating customers and their furry friends.

Here is a list of dog friendly restaurants in sunny San Diego and its surrounding areas, keep in mind that dogs should always be leashed, well mannered, and under the control of their owner at all times.

"Café 1134" is located in Coronado at 1134 Orange Avenue. This dog friendly bistro has been in business for over 15 years and offers patio seating for customers and their dogs. Delicious treats such as Paninis, Wraps, and Pitas are available Monday through Thursday 6:00 am to 10:00 pm, Friday 6:00 am to 12:00 am, and Sunday 6:00 am to 10:00 pm. This dog friendly restaurant is located in La Jolla at 8861 La Jolla Drive and specializes in New York style dishes that satisfy the hungriest customer. "Girard Gourmet" specializes in custom baked cookies and has been proudly serving the La Jolla area for 22 years. This bakery grows many of their fruits and vegetables in Julian, CA and their food items are always 100% fresh. The dog friendly "Girard Gourmet" is open seven days a week from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm and is located in La Jolla at 7837 Girard Avenue. "The 910 Restaurant and Bar" happily welcomes well mannered dogs to their patio seating area. This establishment is located in the "Grand Colonial Inn" at 910 Prospect Street in La Jolla and offers a wide variety of dishes. Breakfast, lunch, dinner, and brunch are served at this dog friendly restaurant daily from 6:30 am until 10:00 pm.     I surely wish they had these options here. What a fantastic idea. Hey, that picture is soooo adorable. If we didn't live be a highway, where they won't let us put up a fence, I be so thrilled to have a dog. Great work Stephanie.
