I've always loved San Diego's Hotel del Coronado. In fact, I spent my honeymoon at the Hotel del Coronado over 20 years ago. It was charming then and remains spectacular today, retaining its Victorian charm while meeting the needs of the modern tourist.

If you visit in the winter, plan on spending a few hours on the ice! Each year, the Hotel del Coronado sets up an outdoor ice rink where you can ice skate just steps away from the Pacific Ocean.
