Week 1 San Francisco at Arizona.
This is a tough way to open the season, against the NFC East Champs.
Week 2 Seattle Seahawks at San Francisco.
The second game of the season is against another divisional rival, the Seattle Seahawks. San Francisco faces former defensive coordinator Jim Mora Jr., the Seahawks new head coach.
Week 3 San Francisco at Minnesota Vikings.
San Francisco plays their first game against the NFC North division in week three. Minnesota will likely be lead by newly acquired quarterback, Sage Rosenfels.
Week 4 St. Louis Rams at San Francisco.
The 49ers won both games against the Rams last season and will be looking to repeat that feat this year.
Week 5 San Francisco at Atlanta Falcons.
The Matt Ryan led Falcons come into San Francisco for the fifth game of the season. The Falcons represent another playoff team the 49ers will have to face in 2009.
Week 7 San Francisco at Houston Texans.
After a bye in week six, the 49ers begin playing the AFC South and start with, the Houston Texans. San Francisco will need a win in Houston as their schedule gets harder from here.
Week 8 San Francisco at Indianapolis Colts.
For their second straight road game, the 49ers go to Indianapolis to face Peyton Manning and the Colts. Even with Marvin Harrison and Tony Dungy gone, this will be a tough game.
Week 9 Tennessee Titans at San Francisco.
San Francisco faces their third AFC South opponent, the Tennessee Titans. The 2008 AFC South division winners, will pose a difficult mach up for the Niners.
Week 10 Chicago Bears at San Francisco.
The new look Chicago Bears, lead by Jay Cutler, come to town for the 49ers ninth game. Coach, Mike Singletary, faces his former team, the Bears for the first time in his young head coaching career.
Week 11 San Francisco at Green Bay Packers.
San Francisco faces another NFC North opponent, the Green Bay Packers. Aaron Rodgers will be looking to show the 49ers that they made a mistake when they picked Alex Smith over him in the 2005 draft.
Week 12 Jacksonville Jaguars at San Francisco.
In week 12, San Francisco is in Jacksonville to finish their play against the AFC South, with a tough game against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
Week 13 San Francisco at Seattle Seahawks
The 49ers face the Seahawks for the second time this year. The 49ers and Seahawks split their two games last year.
Week 14 Arizona at San Francisco.
Arizona comes to town for the final match-up against the 49ers. San Francisco will have to slow down the Cardinals high powered passing offense to have a chance at a W.
Week 15 San Francisco at Philadelphia Eagles.
The 49ers go into Philadelphia to play a tough team, in a tough stadium, in the winter, enough said.
Week 16 Detroit Lions at San Francisco.
The Detroit Lions come to town for the 49ers last home game. Will Matthew Stafford be quarterbacking the Lions?
Week 17 San Francisco at St. Louis.
The final game of the season the 49ers face their divisional foes, the St. Louis Rams. The 49ers won their final two games last season, including one against the Rams, can they do it again?
