San Francisco offers festivals and fairs all season long with their warm weather and outdoor atmosphere. The City by the Bay is one of the best places to explore many different places and events! But where to go and which one to see? Well. heres a list of the most popular ones that will please you and everyone who goes. Have a grand time!

The San Francisco Shakespeare Festival

This festival is being held in its amazingly 25th year, a very popular fair for all ages! The Shakespeare festival is a combination of many festivals, including the Free Shakespeare in the Park, community programs that include Shakespeare on Tour, Midnight Shakespeare, and also the Bay area Shakespeare Camps. There is always a free summer performance going on, or so it seems. Check out the festivals in San Fransisco, Cupertino, San Mateo, and also in Pleasanton. Theres always something going on to heighten your awareness of this legendary writer, so take some time for some learning and alot of fun!

San Francisco Fringe Festival

If you are an unknown or upcoming actor, actress, or play write, than use the San Francisco Fringe festival to show off your work. Over 12 days long, the Festival features about 250 performances for any performer wishing to participate. 10,000 people are reported to attend most years! The best part of the festival is that all proceeds go directly to the performers who have taken the time to show off their talents. For an all-year round theater, try the EXIT Theatreplex, which has four theaters that can be utilized by any independent theater company at any time. If you're in the mood for something new and unseen, definitely check out the Fringe Festival. You're sure to fall in love with its edginess!

San Francisco Jazz Festival

Its known as the "biggest and best festival in the world" by the London Observer. The San Francisco Jazz Festival started out being just a small event that only attracted the locals, but has now grown to mark its 25th year and to attract jazz fans from all around the world. You'll get a taste of both popular and well-known artists, to new up and coming artists who are trying to get their foot in the door. The Herbie Hancock Quartet, Youssou N'Dour, the Kronos Quartet, and Ornette Coleman are just a few of dozens that will enchant your heart and soul with their beautiful music. Many different spaces are found to make sure the artists are all given proper time and space to perform their art. You'll love the variety, the diversity, and most of all, the excitement of the Jazz Festival.
