San Francisco: Four Great Bed and Breakfasts

Thinking about staying in a bed and breakfast, while visiting San Francisco, but not sure what one. Here are four great options to choose from.

1. Washington Square Inn
This inn has sixteen beautiful rooms. There are five Standard room that come with a queen size bed or a double bed and a shower. There are four Deluxe rooms with king or queen size bed, depending on the room, as well as a private bath. The three Superior rooms come with a king size bed and own bath. Two of the Superior room also have a sitting area, fireplace and inner courtyard. Lastly there are two California King Junior Suites with sitting area, private bath and flat screen LCD TV and CD player.

Each room at the inn features European antiques, a telephone, soft robes and cable t.v. The inn also offers free wireless Internet access, complimentary breakfast, tea in the afternoon, hors oeuvres and wine in the evening and full office services in the lobby.

2. White Swan Inn
Each of the twenty six room at the White Swan Inn has their very own fireplace. Choose between the Deluxe Queen, Deluxe King, Luxury King, Deluxe room with two twin beds and the Ashley Suite.

Each guest room has a wet bar, loaded with beverages, an iron and board, hairdryer, bath robes, voice mail with data port and a sitting area. The Ashley Suite also includes a queen canopy bed, sitting area with sofa bed for two, CD player, VCR, writing desk, private bath and chocolates with the evening turn down. All rooms with the exception of the European Pensione room have a private bath and high speed Internet access. The suites also include a jacuzzi tub and either a separate sitting area or dressing area. 4. Golden Gate Hotel
Has twenty-five wicker furniture, furnished guest rooms with antique accessories. Each room has cable t.v., telephone, hairdryer, five star mattresses and hypoallergenic down pillows and comforters and free Internet in every room.

Enjoy a continental breakfast of coffee or English tea, hot croissants, toasted bakery bread and orange juice. Eat in the parlor or in your room. A vintage birdcage elevator connects each of the four floors with historical photographs decorating the halls.

    It is about 2 1/2 to 3 hour from me. It may be a busy city, but sometimes it is nice to just get away. There is always so much to do there, and so much to see.
