The ranch sits on over 500 acres of beautifully lush grounds. For those days that you might want a little more action, head over the hill into Santa Barbara where you'll find plenty of activities to pass the time. From shopping, biking, sailing, horseback riding and even wine tasting, there's sure to be an activity to fit your mood.

With just 41 cottages at the resort, you find each one uniquely decorated and the perfect setting for a relaxing getaway. San Ysidro Ranch cottages offer cozy king-sized beds, a fireplace, and an outdoor patio. Some suites also offer hot tubs, heated bathroom floors, and beautiful antique furniture. The Warner House, which is the resort's most sought after private residence, boasts over 2200 square feet of pure luxury. Guests fortunate enough to stay in this cottage will find three fireplaces, a large living room, two master bedrooms, two and a half baths, a private pool, hot tub, and barbecue.

One of the wonderful perks about the San Ysidro Ranch is that they are dog-friendly. The Privileged Pet Program makes Fido feel right at home from the moment you check in. Fido will receive a welcome bone upon arrival and find doggy bedding in the room, along side a food and water dish, doggy treats and a Bow Wow Beanies toy. Fido will enjoy taking a hike on the over 17-miles of trails located on the San Ysidro Ranch property. After his workout, make sure to book a special in-room spa treatment geared just for him. The 30-minute treatment will massage Fido's muscles to release all the aches and pains from his rigorous hike. To take advantage of the Privileged Pet Program, guests pay an additional $100 per pet per stay fee. The doggy spa treatment? That costs $75.

San Ysidro Ranch has some great specials you'll want to take advantage of.

San Ysidro Ranch has several specials to consider when making your reservations. The Midweek Getaway Special includes: one night accommodations, continental in-room breakfast, and a special rate of $495. The Rosewood Escape includes: a Junior Suite, Sunday through Thursday, with daily in-room breakfast for two during the high-season summer months. Cost is $800 a night and a two-night minimum is required. The ultimate San Ysidro Ranch package is the Ranch Indulgence which gives you the option of selecting one of three indulgences: golf, wine tasting or spa treatments. Also included in the two-night stay: champagne upon arrival; in-room American breakfast for two; and your choice of a full day private wine tasting tour of three local wineries. This indulgence also includes a gourmet picnic. Another option is an 18-hole round of golf at one of the nearby courses with cart included. Spa option includes a 90-minute in-room couples massage. This package starts at $2100 with a two-night minimum required.
