Sandra Bernhard has always been a woman of our time. Irreverent, funny, ironic, bold, brass, poignant, always entertaining are just some of the words to describe an actress/comedian/writer/activist that has the fabulous world of Hollywood brightly in her gaze. But make no mistake her 'take no prisoners' act is no act. Direct and to the point she has always had celebrity and those that bask in its spotlight under her thumb. Being a part of very scene she comments on and not always favorably I might add, Sandra adds the 'insider' touch to her one-woman shows and appearances. She has never been one to shy away from controversy or adversity with observations that always right on the money. Sandra B is truly one of a kind.

Breaking out in the 1970's appearing at the famed Comedy Store, Bernhard jumped head first into the world of movies with her stunning performance in Martin Scorsese's film "The King Of Comedy." Thus a star was born. Countless movie appearances, TV appearances including "Roseanne," (she joined the cast full time) "The Sopranos," "The L-Word," and "Will and Grace," just to name a few. She has also hit late night and daytime TV on "The Late Show with David Letterman," "The Tonight Show," and "The View." Her one-woman shows over the past few years have been sell-out phenomenon's, i.e., "I'm Still Here...Damn It!" & "Without You I'm Nothing."

Her activism side has also been busy of the past few years. She has participated in "Elton John Tribute for Broadway Cares," "The Ali Forney Center for LGBT Homeless Youth," and Broadway Cares Equity Fights AIDS.
