Sandra Bernhard Rants About Sarah Palin in New Concert

Democratic supporters and pundits have already had their fun trashing Sarah Palin since she became John McCain's running mate. But few have the envelope pushing sensibilities of Sandra Bernhard, who has turned her angry, politically incorrect brand of comedy and singing on various targets for decades. Sandra Bernhard continued that tradition in her recent show "Without You I'm Nothing" in Washington, D.C itself. But the right wing blogs specifically focused on Sandra Bernhard when she addressed Sarah Palin in her act, using some rather off-color statements to get across her message.

An example of Sandra Bernhard's kind of comments comes from a defense of Sandra Bernhard on the website of the theater she is performing in, Theater J. Ari Roth starts by saying "The play wears its politically VERY correct heart on its sleeve with its indictment of America as "A Man's World, It's a White Man's World, It's a F***ed Up White Man's Racist World" and can only be suggested to be racist in its content if one is hell-bent on protecting White Folk for Sandra's blistering indictment."

But the main comment Sandra Bernhard made that is setting right wing blogs on their latest attack is described thusly by Roth. "When Sandra warns Sarah Palin not to come into Manhattan lest she get gang-raped by some of Sandra's big black brothers, she's being provocative, combative, humorous, and yes, let's allow, disgusting."

"Does it go over the edge sometimes?" Roth goes on. "On the gang-rape joke, yes. Sure. Not much else. It goes over the edge and then comes right back to the cutting edge."

An even more extended rant from Sandra Bernhard against Sarah Palin is used for an Internet promo of the show. Obviously not all of it is meant for children or sensitive ears.

In her comments, Sandra Bernhard starts going off on Sarah Palin by saying "Now you got Uncle Women, like Sarah Palin, who jumps on the s--t and points her fingers at other women. Turncoat b---h!"

"Don't you touch my Old Testament, you b---h!" Bernhard continues. "Because we have left it open for interpre-ta-tion! It is no longer taken literally! You whore in your f--kin' cheap New Vision cheap-ass plastic glasses and your hair up. A Tina Fey-Megan Mullally brokedown bulls--t moment."
