Sandra Bullock was born July 26, 1964 in Arlington, Virginia. Sandra married Monster Garage star Jesse James in July of 2005. Sandra Bullock has risen to super stardom with her new movie The Blind Side, that was released in theaters in November of 2009. She is finally getting the attention she deserves with the movie The Blind Side, that has become a box office smash with more than 128.9 million in three weeks time. This movie will surpass as her highest grossing movie in her career.

This is my top 10 picks of Sandra Bullock's movies and the reasons I chose them before The Blind Side.

1. Practical Magic (1998)
In this movie Sandra stars along side Nicole Kidman who plays her sister Gillian, as two witches who runs into trouble when they kill Gillian's boyfriend and he comes back as a demon to take over Gillian's body. Sandra gives an emotional portrayal of Sally who because of a family curse lost her husband and has to raise her two children by herself with the help of her two Aunts. Sally ends up falling in love with the investigator who is investigating the disappearance of Gillian's boyfriend. The emotional scene that really takes you in is when Sandra and the Aunts get together a group of PTA moms to form a coven to get the demon boyfriend out of Gillian that is killing her. As they join hands, the demon is destroyed. This movie has a romantic ending.

2. The Proposal (2009)
In this movie that was also released in 2009, Sandra Bullock takes on the role of a snob nosed disliked boss who is going to be deported back to Canada for not filing her visa. Her coworker, sexy Ryan Reynolds ends up having to pretend to be engaged and getting married to Sandra. This movie is hysterical especially when they have to go visit Ryan's parents and Grandmother portrayed by Betty White. Sandra does a beautiful job of being tough, emotional, and funny. The funniest scene I think in Sandra Bullock's career is the Indian dance she does with Betty White. This movie will keep you in stitches with laughter from beginning to end.

3. Premonition (2007)
Sandra Bullock portrays Linda Hanson a woman who loses her husband in a car accident. She wakes up the next day and finds him alive. As Linda puts together the pieces of what happened and tries to change fate by saving her husband from the crash. Will she save him?

4. Speed (1994)
This is the movie that propelled Sandra Bullock into star status. She plays Annie who has to keep a bus over 50 mph so it doesn't explode. With the help of her costar Keanu Reeves who plays a cop in the movie, Sandra goes from one obstacle to another to prevent the bus from exploding. In Annie's string of bad luck she has a bomb strapped to her body, handcuffed to a derailing subway and falls in love in the end with Keanu. This chemistry between the pair on screen prompted another movie together called The Lake House.

5. While You Were Sleeping (1995)
In this movie Sandra pretends to be engaged to a man who has no memory of an accident he has. Sandra ends up visiting the hospital and falling in love with the guy's family and brother played by Bill Pullman. She lies to the whole family until she realizes the feelings she has for Bill Pullman's character. A very romantic movie and must see.

6. Miss Congeniality (2000)
In this movie Sandra who is a cop turned beauty contestant to find who is planning on sabotaging the Miss USA pageant falls in love with her partner cop played by Benjamin Bratt. This movie is funny from start to finish.

7. The Lake House (2006)
In this movie Sandra Bullock ends up trying to meet a man that she has fallen in love with just from his letters played by Keanu Reeves. Their correspondence is through a mailbox outside the Lake House she buys, and they find out he is in a different year and previously owned the Lake House . Even though the movie is somewhat confusing, the plot unravels when Sandra tries and meet him and he doesn't show to find out that Keanu was killed. She races to save his life with a happy ending.

8. The Net (1995)
In this movie Sandra Bullock plays a work at home software engineer Angela Bennett who wakes up one day and realizes that her life is erased, she does not exist. She fights to get her life and identity back against the clock and the people who took her life away.

9. Hope Floats (1998)
This movie finds Sandra portraying Birdie who finds out on national television that her husband is having an affair with her best friend. She packs up her daughter Bernice to move in with her Mother back in her hometown in Texas. She fights feelings for her old time high school friend played by Harry Connick Jr. This is a painful emotional movie with Sandra's pending divorce and the hard time her daughter is going through wanting her Father. Another brilliant acting performance by Sandra Bullock.

10. Demolition Man (1993)
This movie is a different role for Sandra- sci fi. In this movie costarring Sylvester Stallone who comes back to life from being frozen finds the world totally different with being fined for swearing, to Taco Bells ruling the world, to no meat, or kissing or sexual contact. There are some really funny scenes between Sandra and Sylvester in this movie and shows the diversity of the roles Sandra Bullock can take on.
