Sandra Bullock Files for Divorce Expected, Adopted Baby Boy Complete Surprise!

Anyone who has not been asleep for the past few months has seen all the media about Sandra Bullock and her husband Jesse James. Nobody can say for sure how many of the women that are coming forward have truly had a affair with him or if they are only seeking fame and money. The talented actress and the West Coast Chopper Bad Boy looked the picture of happiness at the Oscars. Many were surprised when they married almost five years ago. Even more were surprised they stayed married for so long since they seem to be total opposites.

Unfortunately not long after the Tiger Woods scandal stories of Jesse's infidelities starting popping up at a rapid pace. After weeks and weeks of constant media attention and scrutiny Sandra has filed for divorce in Austin, Texas. First reported by TMZ.com her divorce petition to reality star Jesse citing no expectations of reconciliation. I really do not think many are shocked by this, one indiscretion can be enough to end even the most solid of marriages but multiple ones are usually impossible to overcome.

Everyone was dumbfounded by her revelation that in January her and husband Jesse adopted a little boy named Louis Bardo Bullock. The beautiful 3 ½ month old little boy was born in New Orleans and named after the great Louis Armstrong. Sandra and Jesse started the adoption process four years ago and wanted to keep Louis a secret until after all the Oscar buzz about her best actress win for "The Blind Side" died down. In her interview to People magazine she states "She is sad, and scared." Anyone going through a heartbreaking divorce and they joy of new motherhood can be expected to be experiencing all kinds of emotions. Only time will tell how Sandra will adapt to being a divorcee and single mom and how much of a father Jesse will be to little Louis.

Not being a celebrity myself I can only imagine how daunting all the media pressure and scrutiny can be and how much of a toll that can put on marriage. I know how much marriage under the best circumstances is, and I think being in a celebrity marriage is probably almost impossible. Many have speculated that publicity is the reason for the divorce of Tom Cruise and Nicole Kidman. All the talk about him having infertility issues and problems with her stardom whether true or not can be hard to ignore. Celebrity divorces can also be messy financially, in the 1980s when Steven Spielberg divorced Amy Irving after only four years of marriage. She walked away with $100 million, half of the famous director's fortune at the time.

Many wonder if celebrity adoptions help or hurt these couples marriages. Not long after her highly publicized adoptions, Madonna and Guy Richie called it quits. After seven years together she filed for divorce, many speculate it was due to his not being on board with her adoption plans. On the other end of the spectrum Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie seem to have a very stable marriage. With their six biological and adopted children their large family seems to be thriving. I guess with any marriage whether you are in the public eye or not there is guarantee it will work out. All you can do is be true to one another and work hard at your marriage to ensure a long happy life together.
