Anyone looking for advice on how to behave amidst a public devastation should take a cue and lots of notes from Sandra Bullock. First, she got herself out of a hopeless, humiliating setting, and spent some time setting up a new home and life for herself and baby Louie in New Orleans instead of giving tearful, tell all interviews, and after a few quiet months of learning how to live without crying again, she sparkled with authenticity, humor, honesty, and grace as she came to the stage this weekend to accept two awards.

First accepting the Troops' Choice Entertainer of the Year at Spike TV's Guys Choice Awards, Bullock was more beautiful than a debutante in her knee-length Elie Saab dress and tasteful Cartier dazzlers, flanked by full dress members of all the Armed Forces and taking her trophy from Robert Downey Jr. " We're all going to be honest, right? Did I win this for being entertainer of the year or did I win because of the spectacular IED that became my personal life?", she playfully asked her standing ovation audience. " I would sing, but you've seen enough pain in your lifetime," the actress went on, " I'm a pretty good dancer, but as I mentioned, the dress is a little tight!". Her ability to bring everyone to instant ease was never more appealing.

Sandra's sizzle continued at the MTV Movie Awards, as great pal Betty White returned Bullock's gesture of presenting awards by standing onstage for Bullock's Generation Award, telling her, "You are grace defined, and I adore you madly," as Bullock ascended the stage in another sparkling little black dress that Betty admonished, " I wouldn't wear that dress backwards, dear!" Bullock smacked Scarlet Johansson with a playful kiss, then proceeded to rumor control. Stating the "facts", Bullock declared "No. 1, I'm not dead No.2 Everyone has cellulite, not just me". Singer Katy Perry's remarks conveyed the feelings of others on Bullock's coming out, " I love a strong woman coming out and peacocking after a moment of silence". As for the media, Sandra Bullock says bring it on, "Go back to making fun of me, I don't care"

It's clear that fans and friends alike are overjoyed to have Sandy back, and she is only better for the road that brought her here.
