If your family is looking for ultimate fun, go to Cedar Point Amusement park. Cedar Point is well known as a theme park containing a collection of some of the world's best roller coasters, 17 in all. Since Cedar Point is right on the Lake Erie Coast, you get some amazing lake views on most of the roller coasters, the space needle, and the power tower. If your family has younger children, Cedar Point is also the home of the Peanuts characters including Charlie Brown and Snoopy. There are several Peanuts themed areas, a character show with meet and greet, and even an ice show starring Snoopy. With the park's unique location surrounded by Lake Erie, the classic midway, and the world class thrill rides, Cedar point is in a class of its own when it comes to fun for your family. Although you can have a great day at Cedar Point, plan to spend at least 2 days if you want to see most of the park.
Nestled along the coast next to Cedar Point is the Soak City water park. This park is open seasonally, but on a hot day it is the place to be to cool down after a hot day at the Cedar Point amusement park. Admission is separate for the water park, but Cedar Fair offers a combination ticket or multi-day tickets to enter both Cedar Point and Soak City. A water park in Sandusky is another way to have a family fun day.
