Of course, each sandwich shop offers a select few of their sub sandwiches for $5. Subway has eight different foot-long sandwiches available for this price, whereas Quizno's only has five or six (depending on the location). Score a point on this one for Subway.
Quizno's offer flatbread "sammies" in several different delicious varieties including the Italiano, Sonoma Turkey, Alpine Chicken and more. Subway offers wraps in place of their white or wheat bread to capitalize in their share of this growing trend, too.
Furthermore, Quizno's offers several different kinds of salads, while any sub sandwich ordered at Subway can be turned into a salad. Both stores offer chips, soda and cookies to go with your meal and, depending on your area, both stores serve limited breakfast items as well.
Both of these stores offer up your sandwich on your choice of either white or wheat bread - but when it comes to adding condiments and extras, Subway is the winner hands down. With Quizno's you are stuck with whatever toppings are normally included with your particular sub - if you want to add onions, green peppers, or something that is not included, it's going to cost you extra. This is not the case at Subway. They have a large variety of fresh toppings you can add to any sandwich you order for no extra charge. Again, score a point for Subway.
However, there is one advantage that Quizno's holds over its top competitor, Subway. And that is the Prime Rib sub. Although it is a bit on the expensive side, Quizno's Prime Rib sub is better than any sub offered at either place, hands down.
Overall, if you have the money I suggest going to Quizno's and enjoying one of their Prime Rib sub sandwiches. However, if it is variety and options you are looking for, then there is no better place to eat than at your local Subway. In the end, it all comes down to personal preference. Both restaurants offer a friendly, clean atmosphere for you to dine in - so the only deciding factor is exactly what kind of sub sandwich you are craving today.
