Well guess what America, you voted. And whether you like it or not Sanjaya Malakar will be a star. His fifteen minutes of fame still has about fourteen minutes left on the clock.
Since being kicked off American Idol, Malakar has a media blitz ahead of him. After appearing on The Tonight Show Thursday, he's scheduled to show up on Live with Regis and Kelly, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Late Show with David Letterman, where he'll present the Top 10 list on Monday.
Not bad for a guy that can't carry a tune. Take that, Simon.
He had shock jock Howard Stern campaigning for him to win Idol. How long before Stern books him and spreads the gospel of Sanjaya to over 20 million satellite listeners? Sanjaya is the poo, folks, take a big whiff.
As for what's next on his agenda, Malakar said he has no plans to go back to high school, having earned his GED.
He said he was open to the idea of trying his hand at "acting, modeling, possibly Broadway. I want to get the full entertainment career."
As for music? Malakar's not giving up on his future just yet.
"I'd love to get into Berklee School of Music," he told Entertainment Weekly. "That would be my dream. I want to continue my education and my career."Can you imagine if Timberland signed this guy? He could be touring with Justin Timberlake and with the right touch of studio magic a Sanjaya album might sound pretty darn good. What about Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, the geniuses behind the career of Janet Jackson? Think they couldn't do wonders with Sanjaya? I mean he's not THAT good, but he's not THAT bad either. I mean even Carmen Electra and Paris Hilton have put out CD's, why not the next big thing?
I would kill to be this guy's agent. Call SNL immediately. We need to strike while the iron is hot! Let's test his acting chops now before he gets to Broadway!
Taylor Hicks, you're yesterday's news, pal. Sanjaya's got IT! The charisma, that smile, that ever changing HAIR!
He does, however, still has his critics. In an interview with the Boston Herald last month, Jan Shapiro, the chairwoman of Berklee's Vocal Department, opined that Malakar was "real cute, but not much of a singer."
Don't be a player hater, Jan! Do you know what a publicity boost your school would get if this guy enrolled? You going to turn that down? And isn't it your school's job to teach him a turn him into a good singer. Sheesh, what a hypocrite!
You go Sanjaya, get your dollars, boy!

Post a CommentI agree, except I personally think he has a beautiful, and sultry voice. Sometimes he just took songs in an octave too high. When he sings in the correct octave ,he is perfect !
your a very weird freak and commonly known as the village idiot!
