At the top-left of the screen, you can view your health. Below your health bar is the health bar of the boss for that stage. Defeat the boss by decreasing the health bar all the way to advance to the next stage.
There are a total of 5 stages, and the stage you are currently on corresponds to the boxes that are displayed at the top of the screen. The number of lives you have left are displayed below the boxes. Next to that are the number of Christmas trees you have. To the right of that, you have the amount of time you have left to complete the stage.
At the end of each stage, you are scored based on the amount of health you managed to keep and the amount of time you managed to not use. Your score is displayed at the top of the screen, along with the top score.
At the main menu, you can find a list of high scores. Score high to place your own initials on this list.
