Recording
The Sanyo ICR-FP550 records directly to MP3 so it's an easy format to share. There are three different recording quality modes to choose from including LQ, SP, and HQ. An LED indicator shows you whenever the unit is recording. You can also set the unit to record whenever it detects sounds thanks to the voice-activated system.
Memory
The Sanyo ICR-FP550 digital voice recorder is equipped with 1GB of internal flash memory. This is enough for you to record up to 280 hours of audio when using the LQ recording mode.
Microphone
The Sanyo ICR-FP550 voice recorder features an integrated microphone. You can adjust its sensitivity to either dictation or conference mode. Conference mode is useful for recording sounds farther away, while dictation mode is for closer recordings. There is also a jack for you to connect an external microphone.
Playback
The Sanyo ICR-FP550 offers three playback speeds. This is useful when you're trying to transcribe your recordings. You can also use the digital voice recorder to playback audio files in either MP3 or WMA format.
The Sanyo ICR-FP550 also offers a USB port. This enables you to transfer files from the recorder to your computer quickly and easily. You're provided with the necessary USB cable in the package.
Files
The Sanyo ICR-FP550 offers easy file management. There are six folders that can hold up to 99 files apiece. A seventh folder is there to store music that you transfer over from your computer.
