Sarah Michelle Gellar Will Be Returning to All My Children
ABC has recently announced that Sarah Michelle Gellar will be returning to All My Children on September 21st.
Sarah Michelle Gellar first appeared on All My Children in 1993, originating the role of Kendall Hart.
Since Kendall Hart was the product of Erica Kane's rape at the age of 14, she was given up at birth by her biological mother. Years later when Kendall discovers the truth accidentally from her adoptive parents, she arrives in Pine Valley to confront Erica.
Sarah Michelle Gellar played the role of Kendall Hart from 1993 to 1995, winning the 1995 Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series. After Gellar left All My Children, she starred as Buffy Summers on the tv show Buffy the Vampire Slayer. She went on to appear in movies such as Scream 2, Cruel Intentions, I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scooby-Doo. In the fall she will appear in the new tv series, Ringer.
In 2002, Kendall Hart returned to Pine Valley. Since Sarah Michelle Gellar was unavailable, the role went to Alicia Minshew, who continues to portray Kendall Hart presently. Kendall, once the villain, has evolved into one of the heroines of All My Children. After she married Zack Slater, the character began to be known as Kendall Hart Slater.
So on September 21st, while Sarah Michelle Gellar will be returning to All My Children, she will not be reprising her role as Kendall Hart Slater. Alicia Minshew will continue to play Kendall until the last episode of All My Children.
Sarah Michelle Gellar will be returning to All My Children as a new character, who will be involved with Maria Santos Grey as portrayed by the returning Eva La Rue.
