Sarah Palin: Barack Obama "Palling Around with Terrorists"
The reaction of the Obama Campaign has been predictable. Terms like "Swift Boating", referring to attacks on John Kerry by his fellow Swift Boat officers in the 2004 Campaign, have been used. Even the ghost of Willie Horton, a convicted murderer allowed to leave jail by then Massachusetts Governor Micheal Dukakis when he subsequently kidnapped a couple, assaulted them, and raped the woman has been brought forth. The Willie Horton issue proved devastating in the 1988 Campaign, even though Dukakis supporters tried to blunt it by playing the race card as Horton was black and his victims white.
But the truth, according to David Freddoso, who has written a book on Barack Obama, entitled The Case Against Barack Obama, is rather devastating. Sarah Palin is right. Barack Obama has been "palling around" with terrorists.
Freddoso links William Ayers, along with his wife Bernadine Dohrn, to a number of terrorist bombings, as well as the murder of a police officer in San Francisco in 1970. Despite the Obama Campaign's attempts to down play the activities of William Ayers and to distance Obama from Ayers, William Ayers himself boasts of his crimes, in a memoir published in 2001 entitled Fugitive Days.
The Obama Campaign counters that William Ayers committed these crimes when Barack Obama was a child and that Obama in no way endorses Ayers' radical views or violent activities. Besides, it is said, William Ayers is now a respected member of the community, a Professor of Education.
That, of course, is not the point. Despite never having been prosecuted for his crimes, mainly because a judge threw out FBI wiretapping evidence, William Ayers is an unrepentant terrorist just as much as Timothy McVeigh or Osama bin Laden. William Ayers did set bombs and, as Fredosso suggests, murdered at least one person. Barack Obama is a close political ally and friend of William Ayers. Hence, he is indeed "palling around with terrorists" as Sarah Palin suggests.
Such lack of judgment should concern anyone faced with the prospect of President Barack Obama. A President Barack Obama will be dealing with a number of terrorists, some of whom Obama has promised to meet "without preconditions", a promise that Obama has typically started to back away from. If William Ayers' record of bombing and murder is not sufficient of Barack Obama to avoid any relationship with him, what about Osama Bin Laden or Ahmadinejad? Will Barack Obama decide, as with Ayers, that their records are not sufficiently onerous to, say, avoid dealing with them as if they were legitimate leaders and not international wolf heads?
What is the problem in talking with our enemies? Barack Obama might ask. The question answers itself. An enemy, by definition, doesn't want to talk. An enemy wants to fight and, in the case of our terrorist enemies, consign the United States to the ash heap of history. There is therefore really nothing to talk about, except to say, "Stop what you are doing or we shall rain fire and death down upon you."
But Barack Obama does not have the intestinal fortitude to say that. Therefore he should not be elected to any position in which he could speak to terrorists on behalf of the United States.

Post a CommentIt is truly sad the Republicans can''t tell us one thing they will do to fix the mess we are in, they keep saying, "Say it ain't so Joe" there you go again bringing up history. Well that is the only thing the Republicans can do. I have never seen in all my years someone try so hard to win with a lie and such underhanded tactics. McCain spouts that honor thing but he is about as honorable as Bin Laden. He will snake the American Public so he can have his minute in the sun. I wouldn't vote him or the moose hunter for garbage detail. Well written but such a pile of crap.
And Sean Hannity? Oh, please, that man couldn't be objective if a train was headed towards his mother!
People might want to remember that groups like the Weathermen who blew up government installations during Vietnam are still considered revolutionaries and heroes in some quarters! Perhaps it was unfortunate that some innocents were killed, but their reasons for fighting the government on the policies that got us into Vietnam were later proved valid.

What is Obama's true relationship with Acorn, Wright, Ayers & Dohrn...are any of these people terrorists? Are any involved in illegal activities? Have they commited any crimes?

Remeber that most sources are biased, so we should all do some serious research on our own before landing a solid decision. This is serious.
I agree with you as well. I watched the special on Hannity tonight. This is all very disturbing. Disturbing because they laid out a very good case with an awful lot to back it up. Why are people not asking about this? I can't understand why people blindly follow. No one really knows too much about him, and every time something comes up he brushes it off. The media is busy trying to place a Dem, any Dem, in the white house, they are asking no questions. Our "news" people are doing us a very grave disservice. I could care less if someone is a Dem, Rep or Ind. I pride myself in my ability to look at all of the parties, listen to all they say, and make a decision based on all of the information. If Obama or Palin either one have questionable relationships it should be investigated and reported truthfully. However, with the current media, you can not believe a word you hear any more.
My questions:

If bringing up Ayers didn't help the Clinton political machine against Obama, it's hard to see it helping the McCain campaign. Given that Palin has repeatedly attended and spoken before the Alaska Independence Party (AIP), a separatist organization with violent leaders and overseas terrorist connections that is active TODAY, this could very well backfire on McCain.

You are judged by the company you keep... and his ties to Ayers do concern me. Setting bombs, killing one person... and unrepetant. I wonder if he is not sorry he took someone's life too.
