Sarah Palin Continues Hypocrisy, Blames Obama for Financial Crisis

COMMENTARY | To all of the people who continued to insist that Britta Hanson, now Palin, was not pregnant when she and Track married this spring, the baby came awfully quick. Track's new wife delivered their baby girl, Kayla Grace, Sunday night.

Track and Britta were married May 20, 2011, which means that Britta was at least seven months pregnant at the ceremony. While pregnancy before marriage is almost commonplace, the fact that Sarah and Bristol Palin have made large amounts of money preaching about how well abstinence works is hypocrisy.

Hypocrisy is nothing new for Sarah Palin. Here were the words she spoke less than two weeks ago in regard to the debt ceiling issue that has caused our politicians to bicker like children in middle school.

On July 26, she told Fox News, "Scaring the American people is exactly what President Obama is doing. The president's getting pretty good at this fear mongering and trying to cram down the public's throat this idea of bigger government, more spending," reports CNN.

Now that America's credit has been downgraded, Palin blames Obama, saying, according to The State Column, "I'm surprised that so many people seem surprised by S&P's decision. Weren't people paying attention over the last year or so when we were getting warning after warning from various credit rating agencies that this was coming? I've been writing and speaking about it myself for quite some time."

Really Sarah? You said nothing would happen if the debt ceiling wasn't raised. It was all fear-mongering, nothing is going to happen, you and the other Tea Party leaders continued to say through fake smiles and white teeth.

Palin continues to hint at a presidential campaign for 2012, but she probably realizes that if she were to become involved in a debate she would have no chance at winning. A woman who has difficulties answering a question about which news magazines she reads probably cannot answer more questions that would be considerably more challenging in a debate.

If Sarah is not going to run for president, what is she doing? Well, she seems to enjoy being in the spotlight, and the endless entertainment her follies provide for the media don't hurt either.

The sister of Bristol's baby's father, Levi Johnston, is continuing the Jerry Springer-like saga of the Palin family by dishing out more white trash gossip. Mercedes Johnston told all to Playboy magazine in a recent interview, and she didn't hold back her hateful feelings of the Palins.

Mercedes claims that Track had a drug problem, and Sarah forced him into the military so his substance abuse problem didn't distract from her vice presidential campaign. Levi and Mercedes' mother is currently serving a three-year house arrest sentence for selling Oxycontin, one of the drugs that Track was said to indulge in, along with cocaine.

Mercedes Johnston made a lot of accusations against Sarah and the Palin family, but take it with a grain of salt. Johnston posed for Playboy along with her tell-all interview, and she can be found fully nude in the September issue.

Of course, Palin's staunch supporters will continue to defend this "All-American" family, but I think it's time for Sarah to run as far away from the spotlight as fast as she can. The only thing that will be missed is the entertainment value.
